At Turismo en Ushuaia, we understand tourism as an activity with economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts. We therefore commit to acting with integrity, transparency and responsibility in all our decisions and relationships.

This Code of Ethics and Integrity Policy establishes the principles that guide our work as a platform and our relationships with travellers, service providers, communities and the natural environment.

1. Transparency and accuracy of information

We commit to providing clear, up-to-date and responsible tourism information, avoiding misleading, confusing or deceptive practices. Our communications and published content aim to support informed, conscious decisions by people visiting the destination.

2. Ethical relationships with tourism providers

We promote relationships based on respect, fairness and transparency with tourism service providers and local businesses. We avoid hidden favouritism, discriminatory practices or conditions that unfairly disadvantage participants in the tourism ecosystem.

3. Inclusion and prioritisation of providers

At Turismo en Ushuaia, we recognise the diversity of the tourism ecosystem and the importance of creating meaningful local impact.

We give priority visibility to properly authorised providers, supporting compliance with regulations and safety. At the same time, we value the participation of independent individuals and enterprises, including those without formal authorisation, offering room for their participation and support towards professionalisation if they wish.

The platform remains open to all providers who want to join, with inclusion and fairness serving as fundamental operating principles.

4. Respect for people

We reject all forms of discrimination, violence and disrespectful treatment. We promote mutually respectful relationships among tourists, providers, collaborators and other stakeholders, recognising the diversity of identities, experiences and circumstances.

We commit to ensuring an environment free from discrimination, violence, harassment or exclusionary practices, both in our communications and content and in our relationships with tourists, providers and the wider community.

We regard diversity as an asset that enriches the tourism experience and strengthens local development. We therefore seek to integrate this approach across our decisions, recommendations, content and criteria for selecting and giving visibility to providers.

Turismo en Ushuaia also has an internal protocol for preventing and responding to harassment or violence and an accessible, confidential reporting channel, as part of our commitment to protecting people and encouraging responsible tourism practices.

We undertake this commitment progressively, in line with the organisation’s current scale, and it will be reviewed and strengthened through continuous improvement.
