Criteria for Tourism Service Providers
Turismo en Ushuaia
Turismo en Ushuaia is a digital platform that brings together providers, experiences and services associated with tourism in Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego. Its aim is to provide reliable information and support the region’s tourism development.
The inclusion and continued presence of providers on the platform are governed by editorial criteria established by Turismo en Ushuaia. These criteria seek to ensure clear information and an appropriate experience for platform users.
Basic publication criteria
To be published on the platform, providers must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Carry out activities that are directly or indirectly related to tourism or the local tourism ecosystem.
- Hold the relevant commercial authorisation or be in the process of obtaining or regularising it.
- Provide clear, truthful and up-to-date information about the services they offer.
- Not promote discriminatory or violent practices, or practices contrary to respect for people and communities.
These criteria aim to organise the published offerings and maintain a basic framework of respect without restricting the diversity of proposals represented on the platform.

Supporting local development
Turismo en Ushuaia is committed to supporting and strengthening the local tourism ecosystem by encouraging the participation of providers based in Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, including small and medium-sized tourism enterprises.
This approach seeks to contribute to local economic development and diversify tourism offerings, while respecting the range of proposals in the destination and gradually supporting providers’ professionalisation.
The relationship between Turismo en Ushuaia and providers may take different forms depending on the project’s development and the characteristics of each provider.

Environmental approach
Turismo en Ushuaia promotes protection of the natural environment and adoption of good environmental practices in tourism activities.
In its role as an information and communication platform, it encourages awareness and dissemination of responsible practices related to using the land, respecting ecosystems and coexisting with nature, without carrying out audits or operational inspections of the published providers.
This approach aims to support the people and businesses involved in tourism progressively, recognising their diversity of practices and different scales of operation.
