Turismo en Ushuaia recognises the environmental, scenic and cultural value of Tierra del Fuego and the responsibility involved in promoting a tourist destination located in one of the planet’s most sensitive natural environments.

As a digital platform providing tourism information and communication, our role is not to operate tourism activities or supervise service providers. Rather, it is to facilitate access to reliable information and promote more conscious practices in the relationship between tourism, the natural environment and local communities.

Our environmental approach

Turismo en Ushuaia bases its environmental actions on the following principles:

• Care for the natural environment: we promote respect for the ecosystems, landscapes and natural areas of Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, recognising their fragility and environmental value.
• Awareness and education: we include content and messages that encourage responsible tourism, conscious use of the land and respectful behaviour among people visiting the destination.
• Responsible communication: we seek to provide clear, contextualised information that supports an informed tourism experience aligned with environmental protection.
• Support for the tourism ecosystem: within our role, we encourage the progressive adoption of good environmental practices among providers and other participants in the sector, without performing audits or operational inspections.

Turismo en Ushuaia is committed to continuously improving how it integrates environmental criteria into its work. We progressively review and strengthen our content, editorial standards and communication methods as the project evolves and as we better understand its impact on the region.
