Discover the birds of the End of the World on a private birdwatching experience in Tierra del Fuego National Park. With a guide specializing in ornithology, explore a selection of Ushuaia’s distinctive natural environments in search of the birds of southern Patagonia.
Subantarctic forests, peat bogs, wetlands and the shores of the Beagle Channel make this a tour for observing, photographing and understanding Tierra del Fuego’s wildlife at a relaxed pace. The experience is private for groups of up to eight guests, suitable for experienced birdwatchers, nature photographers and curious travelers.

Within a relatively small area, Ushuaia brings together the Andes, forests, rivers, lakes, wetlands and the Beagle Channel. Visiting these environments increases the chances of finding a variety of birds during the day.
Travel from Ushuaia along National Route 3 towards landscapes where open grasslands and peat bogs provide habitat for characteristic birds.
Inside Tierra del Fuego National Park, explore Ensenada Zaratiegui, where subantarctic forest meets the coast. Here you may observe both forest and coastal birds.
Continue through mature forests, wetlands and waterways towards Lake Acigami and the Lapataia River, which provide habitat for forest and aquatic species.
Reach Lapataia Bay, an iconic part of the national park near the end of National Route 3. Forests, mountains, waterways and areas affected by beavers create another distinct birdwatching setting.
The area’s bird checklist includes more than 60 species. Possible sightings include:
