Departing from the city of Ushuaia, heading southwest, we will take National Route No. 3, heading towards Tierra del Fuego National Park.
In the 11 kilometers between the park entrance and the city of Ushuaia, we will have the opportunity to stop near the Equestrian Center, where we can enjoy excellent panoramic views of the Beagle Channel, the Ushuaia Peninsula, and the Bridges, Willie, and Les Eclauriers archipelagos.
After crossing the Pipo River bridge, near the Ushuaia Golf Club, you’ll find the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino station, where the famous End of the World Train departs. Visitors who wish to board the train can do so as an option. The group will meet again later at the end of the tour.
We continue the tour for another 2 kilometers to finally enter the National Park, an area of more than 70,000 hectares reserved for the protection of the Subantarctic Forest, as well as its native flora and fauna.
We’ll take the path surrounded by lenga forests and peat bogs to reach Lake Acigami (formerly Roca), a glacial lake with a surface area of 5.50 square kilometers. This lake offers a beautiful view, framed by mountains and dense forests, where it’s also possible to spot numerous native birds.
Here you’ll find a rest area. You’ll have 30 minutes to explore the area and take photos.
We’ll then head to Lapataia Bay, where you can admire the coastline, rich in mollusks and mussels. There, we’ll also find vestiges of the ancient indigenous people who inhabited the region. We’ll have time to walk along the footbridge, from which the views are breathtaking, take photographs, and enjoy the dreamy sensation of visiting the End of the World.
From here, at the end of National Route No. 3, the return to the city of Ushuaia begins.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All descriptions and itineraries mentioned are for illustrative purposes only: activity times, order, and attractions visited may vary depending on the guide’s assessment and the group’s characteristics.

From June to October, Ushuaia offers unbeatable snow conditions for enjoying the many options for snow sports and entertainment, although snow at the End of the World can fall at almost any time.
The coldest month of the year in Ushuaia is July, with an average minimum temperature of -1°C and maximum of 4°C.
The number of hours of daylight varies depending on the season: in midsummer, sunlight lasts for more than 17 hours a day, while in winter, natural light (not direct sunlight) only lasts for 7 hours. In December and January, it's common to make the most of the day, as it gets dark around 10 p.m.
The main winter excursions and activities include skiing and snowboarding, either on Cerro Castor or at the Martial Glacier Ski School. You can also visit the winter resorts located along National Route 3, go snowmobiling, sail the Beagle Channel, tour Tierra del Fuego National Park, and visit the Fuegian lakes.
For Argentine residents, the prices are: Adults $1,500, Children $750, Students $750. For those from Argentina, the general admission fee is $5,500. Seniors, people with disabilities, companions of people with disabilities, and children under 5 years old do not pay admission. For non-residents
Trekking and hiking are popular activities for visitors to Tierra del Fuego National Park. You can also go canoeing and camping at various designated spots. The Park has a Visitor Center where information and services are available.
Departing from the city of Ushuaia, the tour takes in the park's main attractions and lasts half a day (approximately 6 hours). Full-day tours are also available that combine a visit to the park with other tours.
Upon entering the park, visitors will be provided with a location map so they can explore the park according to their preferred points of interest. We also recommend visiting: Lapataia Bay, Laguna Negra, Acigami or Roca Lake, Pipo River Waterfall, and Zaratiegui Inlet.
From the city of Ushuaia, drive along National Route 3 for 10 kilometers. Access is via public transportation, shuttle companies, or private vehicles. Important: For those renting cars, please note that snow makes driving difficult on the road in winter, and studded tires are required.
Within the park is the Alakush Visitor Center, where you can access the information you need. There is also an interpretation area, a service area, and a cafeteria.
